Cinnamon Scolls

I decided to try my hand at something different from my usual cupcakes or cookies today. I took the recipe for Jellybean Scrolls from GeekBakes and adapted it for cinnamon scrolls. Thankfully she had made a note of when to add the cinnamon sugar so it wasn't too bad. :)

I'm not going to repost the recipe but have a couple of pictures. The first two are un-iced, the third is obviously iced.




The first picture's scolls were golden, my flash just washed them out a bit. I tried using dental floss to cut the scroll but it just didn't work for me. I ended up finding a big cerated knife that worked if I took it slow and greased it with melted butter - whatever works! :D This was my first time working with yeast but it was pretty successful in my opinion. I should have let the second tray rise some more but that isn't a big problem. I also didn't use enough cinnamon sugar when I was rolling it, but that's a personal preference.

I iced them with a simple icing sugar and water mixture but I flavoured it with some more cinnamon sugar to give it some extra cinnamon-y goodness.
